Normand Goguen, 79, of Cocagne, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at the UHC Dr Georges L Dumont, Moncton on Sunday February 26, 2017. He was married to Julia LeBlanc. Born in Cocagne, he was the son of the late Bélonie and the late Elizabeth (Cormier) Goguen.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Julia, his son Charles , two granddaughters; Amy and Chelsey, his step-children; Jacinthe Bastarache (Pete) of Dieppe, Raymond LeBlanc (Debbie), Emery LeBlanc (Carol-Ann), both of Bouctouche, Lise LeBlanc (Serge) of Haute-Aboujagane, several step-grandchildren and step great- grandchildren. He also leaves to mourn seven sisters; Rose-Alma LeBlanc ( late Auguste), Anita Allain both of Bouctouche, Linda Babineau (Ronald), Pauline Babineau ( late Hervé), Lucia Hébert (André) all of Cocagne, Sr Jeannine Goguen ndsc of Moncton, Marie Cormier (Hervé) of Saint-Antoine, two brothers; Antoine (Cécile) of Shediac Bridge, and Léo (Fernande) of Leominster, Mass, one brother-in-law, Ulysse Bastarache and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by his first wife Yvette LeBlanc (2000), two children; Louise and Bernard in infancy and one sister, Anna Bastarache.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room in Cocagne, on Thursday March 2, 2017 from 7 to 9pm and on Friday from 9:30 to 10:45. The funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Pierre Church, Cocagne on Friday March 3, 2017 at 11:00am.
In Normand’s memory a donation can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation.
