Odette Allain, 82, of Bouctouche, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at home on Tuesday June 27, 2023. She was married to Leopold Allain. Born in Bouctouche, she was the daughter of the late Albert and the late Marguerite (LeBlanc) Collette.
She will be sadly missed by her husband; Leopold, her five children; Debby Duplessis (Armand «Merle»), Monique Hébert (Roger), Jean-Guy (Patsy) all of Bouctouche, Bobby (Monique) of Dieppe, Ronnie (Charlene) of Sydney Mines, NS, her eleven grandchildren; Natalie, Julie, Mélanie, Alain, Bruno, Stéphane, Joël, Joline, Isabelle, Marcel and Chantal, and thirteen great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her two brothers; Melas (Marie-Rose) of Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, Joe (Dorina) of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by two sisters; Majella and Patricia as well as one brother; Raymond.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Wednesday July 5, 2023 from 1:00 pm to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday July 5, 2023 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Odette’s memory, donations may be made to the Saint-Jean Baptiste Church Fund.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Extra Mural Kent Staff, especially her niece Lucie for all their wonderful care as well as Dr Fontaine, Dr Grey and Dr Poirier.
