OSCAR GAUVIN

Oscar Gauvin, 78, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Thursday, June 11th, 2015, at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB.

Born in Dieppe, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and the late Geraldine (née: LeBlanc) Gauvin.

Prior to retirement Mr. Gauvin worked for Boudreau Sheet Metal. In his leisure, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Nascar races and spending time at the camp. He was a member of Saint-Anselme Parish.

He is survived by his wife, Fidelis (née: Lirette); two daughters: Nicole (Raymond) Richard of Dieppe and Anne (Brad) Firth of Memramcook; four sons: Oscar Jr. (Kathy) of Shediac Bridge, Roger (Diane) of Dieppe, Robert (Cecilia) of Fredericton and Claude (Jacqueline) of Dieppe; three sisters: Eveline (late Edouard) of Bouctouche, Bertha and Gloria, both of Montreal, QC; one brother, Edgar of Montreal, QC; 8 grandchildren: Jean-Luc, Sebastien, Marco, Caroline, Hayley, Stephanie, Matthew and Aaliyah; two great grandchildren: Savannah and Christien, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A private funeral service was held.

Interment in Saint-Anselme Parish Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.

In his memory, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital "Oncology" would be appreciated by the family.

À l’Hôpital de Moncton, le jeudi 11 juin 2015, à l’âge de 78 ans, est décédé Oscar Gauvin. Il demeurait à Dieppe, N.-B.

 Né à Dieppe, N.-B., il était fils de feu Arthur et de feu Geraldine (née LeBlanc) Gauvin.

Avant sa retraite, M. Gauvin avait travaillé chez Boudreau Sheet Metal; il aimait faire la chasse, la pêche, surveiller les courses Nascar et passer du temps au camp. Il était membre de la paroisse Saint-Anselme.

Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Fidelis (née Lirette); deux filles: Nicole (Raymond) Richard de Dieppe et Anne (Brad) Firth de Memramcook; quatre fils: Oscar Jr (Kathy) de Shediac Bridge, Roger (Diane) de Dieppe, Robert (Cecilia) de Fredericton et Claude (Jacqueline) de Dieppe; trois soeurs: Eveline (feu Edouard) de Bouctouche, Bertha et Gloria, toutes deux de Montréal, QC; un frère, Edgar de Montréal, QC; 8 petits-enfants: Jean-Luc, Sebastien, Marco, Caroline, Hayley, Stephanie, Matthew et Aaliyah; deux arrière petits-enfants: Savannah et Christien, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Un service funéraire privé a eu lieu.

Dans sa mémoire, un don à la Fondation Amis de l’Hôpital de Moncton «Oncologie » serait apprécié.
