Ste-Marie-de-Kent – Ovila LeBlanc, 84, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L.-Dumont Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 after a brief illness.
Born in Ste-Marie-de-Kent on December 20th, 1926, he was the son of the late Fidèle and Béatrice (Maillet) LeBlanc.
Ovila will be sadly missed by his very special friend, Philomène Poirier; his three brothers, Iréné (Florence), Nérie (Donalda) and Victor (Généva), all of Ste-Marie-de-Kent; his three sisters, Rita LeBlanc (Fernando), Olive Cormier (Paul), both of Moncton, and Maria LeBlanc (late Eddé) of Memramcook; also several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Yolande (Allain); and four brothers, Aurèle, Gérard, Élie and Antoine.
Visitations will be held at the at the Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel RC Church Slumber Room in Ste-Marie-de-Kent on Sunday, July 24th from 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, July 25th from 2 to 4 pm and from 5:30 pm until time of funeral. Funeral service will be at Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel RC Church in Ste-Marie-de-Kent on Monday, July 25th at 7 pm.
