Moncton, NB – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patricia Melanson, 86, on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at the Moncton Residence.
Born in Saint-Charles, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and the late Suzanne Richard.
Patricia will be sadly missed by her son, Daniel (Rose-Marie) Melanson of Shediac Bridge; her daughter, Monette Melanson (Gary Marusarz) of Moncton; three grandchildren: Marc, Eric, Isabelle; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Arsene Melanson; two children, Michel and Josanne; three sisters: Yvonne, Eva, and Délima; as well as her four brothers: Bernard, Zoël, René, and Gonzague.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Dr. Corey Burton, Dr. Nizar Samad, the staff at the Dr. Sheldon H Rubin Oncology Clinic, as well as the staff at the Moncton Residence for the great care they have provided to our mom.
Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Home (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) on Sunday, May 14th, 2023 from 6:30pm until 9:00pm and Monday, May 15th, 2023 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm. Funeral Service will be held at Saint-Pierre de Cocagne RC Church (2000 Route 535) at 4:00pm.
Donations in memory of Patricia can be made to Dr. Sheldon H Rubin Oncology Clinic or to the Alzheimer Association.

Chers Monette et Daniel,
Aujourd’hui est un jour triste pour nous car nous avons perdu un être qui nous es chère. Elle étais serviable et accueillante et son cœur toujours plein d’amour. C’est l’une des meilleurs personne que nous avons connu dans notre vie.
Elle va accompagner Arsene dans l’autre monde qui l’attend depuis longtemps.
Ancien voisin depuis presque toujours!

Mes sincères sympathies à la famille. Matante Pat était toujours souriante, son acceuil chaleureux et son sucre à la crème fondant dans la bouche. Nos visites à Cocagne étaient toujours plaisantes. Les souvenirs seront toujours dans mon coeur. Malgré que la distance nous sépare, mes prières et mes pensées sont parmis vous pendant ces moments diffices.
Daniel, nos sympathies à toi, Rose-Marie et ta famille pour la perte de votre mère. Ce n’est jamais facile de perdre quelqu’un qu’on aime, surtout une bonne maman. On pense à vous autres…
