Patrick William Hillis, avid fisherman, tennis, hockey, and baseball player, referee, cyclist, golfer and steelworker, passed away after a brief battle with cancer on May 23, 2024 at 66 years of age in Bouctouche, NB. Pat is survived by his only daughter, Kimberleigh Hillis, to whom he dedicated his life to loving, supporting and trying to make her take her own fish off a hook. He was a dear brother to his siblings Debbie Little (late John), Kim, Glenn (Ann), and Julie Marshall. He is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved friends. He was predeceased by his parents Carol and Bill Hillis. When not spending time with his friends or family, Pat could always be found doing something to keep active whether it was rollerblading, trying to find the largest bass on the lake, or catching the latest Jays game on television. In typical Pat fashion, cremation has taken place with no service to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to KidSport Ontario to carry on his legacy of being active in community sports.
