Paul Blaquière of Dieppe passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at the age of 91, after a short hospitalization at the Dr. G. L. Dumont University Hospital Center.
Paul was born in Atholville, He was the son of the late Wilfrid Blaquière and Marie Luce (Bérubé).
Predeceased by his wife Marie Rose who was the love of his life, his siblings: Gabi, Annette, Bertha, Fernande, André, Laurent and Victor.
Survived by his sons Charles (Dorice) of Whitby, ON and Jacques of MacDougall Settlement, his daughters Lucille (Daniel) of Lakeburn and Carole (Gilles) of Montréal QC; grandchildren Natalie (Kevin), Shawn, Simon (Stephanie), Joshua (Emily), Jérémy (Stéphanie) and Francois (Andréa); great grandchildren Isabelle, Paisley, Milo. Laszlo and Lori. Paul will also be missed by his special friend Rena, his four sisters: Adrienne (Charles) Dubé of St. Honoré QC, Claire (Ken) Lanteigne of Atholville, Emma Blaquière of Montréal QC, and Lynn Keely (Camille Dubé) of Grand Falls and several nieces and nephews.
Paul was a devoted husband, loving father and exceptional Grand-papa. He had many years watching his beloved grandchildren grow and thrive. Paul was a caring and sensitive person.
He was a member of the Sainte-Thérèse parish church in Dieppe. Retired in 1989 from employment with the federal Civil Service (Employment Insurance). His service began in Campbellton, transferred to Bathurst in 1967 and in 1971 transferred to Moncton, also was a member of the National Association of Federal Retirees, was a member of the Dieppe Golden age Club.
His pursuits included reading, bowling, cottage life, kayaking and carpentry, he was a Montreal Canadien loyal partisan and enjoyed technology, and his favorite music was country which he enjoyed with his family
Visitation will be held from Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative, 363 Amirault St, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901, on Wednesday, June 18th, from 2 to 4 pm, followed by a service in the chapel at 4 pm.
If desired, a donation in memory of Paul may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Dear nieces & nephews, Your uncle Ken and I are so sorry for your loss. Aunty was very fortunate to speak with him before he had his heart attack and again when in the hospital I was able to sing for him “Maitre Pierre ” which he always remembered . Love to you all.
