It is with great sadness that we, the family of Paul Emile Richard, announce his passing at The Moncton Hospital, on June 25th, 2021, at the age of 78.
He was the son of the late Adelard and the late Dorilla (Robichaud) Richard.
As a teen he loved horses and pursued that passion in the U.S.A, where he trained horses. He then went to work with iron works and dedicated his commitment and excellence there till the age of 76. Paul always had a story to tell like what happened to his hand and why he had a tattoo on his head of a man with a lawnmower. He had a heart of gold, loving everyone he met and always helping anyone he could.
He is survived by the love of his life Claudette (nee Leger); his daughters: Sue Wunsch and Paulette Reed; his stepsons: Gary (Erika) Gallant and Chris (Tabatha) Gallant; his grandchildren: Shannon Reed, Brent (Julie) Reed, Corie Reed, Lily Donegan and Daniel Richard. He was the much loved Popsy to Crystal, Jeremy and Easton. He also leaves his sisters: Glorianna Arseneault, Linda (Paige) Blackmore and Diane Richard; his mother-in-law Catherine Leger and his in-laws as well as a nephew Mike Richard and several other special nieces, nephews and many friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, a brother Joe Richard and father-in-law Willie Leger.
As per Paul’s request, there will be no visitation or service. There will be a celebration of life at a later date.

C’est avec une grande tristesse que nous, la famille de Paul Émile Richard, annonçons son décès à L’Hôpital de Moncton, le 25 juin 2021, à l’âge de 78 ans.
Il était le fils de feu Adelard et de feu Dorilla (Robichaud) Richard.
Comme adolescent, il aimait les chevaux et a poursuivi cette passion aux États-Unis, où il a entraîné des chevaux. Il est ensuite allé travailler avec des ferronneries et y a consacré son engagement et son excellence jusqu’à l’âge de 76 ans. Paul avait toujours une histoire à raconter comme ce qui lui était arrivé à la main et pourquoi il avait un tatouage sur sa tête d’un homme avec une tondeuse à gazon. Il avait un cœur en or, aimait tous ceux qu’il rencontrait et aidait toujours ceux qu’il pouvait.
Il laisse dans le deuil l’amour de sa vie Claudette (née Léger); ses filles: Sue Wunsch et Paulette Reed; ses beaux-fils: Gary (Erika) Gallant et Chris (Tabatha) Gallant; ses petits-enfants: Shannon Reed, Brent (Julie) Reed, Corie Reed, Lily Donegan et Daniel Richard. Il était le Popsy bien-aimé de Crystal, Jeremy et Easton. Il laisse également ses sœurs: Glorianna Arseneault, Linda (Paige) Blackmore et Diane Richard; sa belle-mère Catherine Léger et sa belle-famille, un neveu Mike Richard et plusieurs autres nièces et neveux specials ainsi que plusieurs amis.
Il a été précédé par ses parents, un frère Joe Richard et son beau-père Willie Leger.
Selon la demande de Paul, il n’y aura pas de visite ou de service. Il y aura une célébration de la vie à une date ultérieure.
