Paul Poirier
1945 ~ 2023

Moncton, NB. – It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul Poirier, 77, on Friday, February 3, 2023, at his residence with his family and friends by his side.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late George and the late Lorette Poirier (Roy).

Paul will be sadly missed by his two daughters: Darlene (Joseph) of Louisiana and Nancy (Jay) of Moncton; his two grandchildren: Katie (Tim) of Moncton and Kyle (Jessica) of Alberta; his grandchildren: Olivia and Rylan; his three sisters: Annette Cormier, Alice Poirier, Maria (late Roland) all of Moncton; his brother: Roger Poirier of Moncton; his nephew: Kevin Cormier (Julie) and nieces: Claudine Scully (Sean) and Tiffany Richard (Devan).

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife: Viola Poirier (Vernette) and his daughter: Karen Poirier.

Paul had a long career at Bens (Lane’s Bakery) for over 30 years.

A special thank you to the Dr. Manon LeRoux and the Extra-Mural staff for the kindness and care given during these difficult times.

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Rd, Moncton, on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. In respect to the family’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Paul can be made to the Moncton SPCA.

  2. Darlene and Butch, we are keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. Was looking forward to meeting Pip this year and sad that won’t happen. We know you will miss him terribly but take comfort knowing he’s reunited with his loved ones and he will have the best seat on race days watching Nascar. 💓
