Paul Surette, 85, of Moncton, NB, passed away on Saturday, January 24th, 2015, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Eloi and the late Eugenie (née: Bourgeois) Surette.
Mr. Surette retired from APM after 32 years of service. He was a long time member of the Champlain Walking Club. An avid musician, Paul played the steel guitar for the Hal Lone Pine Show and Kidd Baker Show; he also played with the dance bands, Stan Jamieson and Meddy Cormier.
A loving husband and father, he will be missed by his wife, Mildred (née: Hinds); one daughter, Karen (Marshall) Macpherson of Riverview; one son, Lary of Moncton; two grandchildren: Kyle and Karly, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Eloi.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Friday from 10 am until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, on Friday, January 30th, 2015 at 11 am.
Interment at Our-Lady-of-Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.

Né à Moncton, N.-B., il était fils de feu Eloi et de feu Eugenie (née Bourgeois) Surette.
Avant sa retraite, M. Surette avait travaillé chez APM pour 32 ans. Il était membre du Champlain Walking Club. Un passionné de la musique, il jouait la steel guitar pour les spectacles: Hal Lone Pine Show et Kidd Baker Show; il jouait aussi pour les danses avec Stan Jamieson et Meddy Cormier.
Un époux et père aimant, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse, Mildred (née Hinds); une fille, Karen (Marshall) Macpherson de Riverview; un fils, Lary de Moncton; deux petits-enfants: Kyle et Karly, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, un frère, Eloi, l’a précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, (N.-B.) (857-1901) le jeudi de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h et le vendredi de 10h jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.
Une célébration de la parole aura lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville le vendredi 30 janvier, 2015 à 11h.
L’inhumation se fera au Cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire à Dieppe, N.-B.
Un don à la Fondation des maladies du coeur serait apprécié par la famille.
