Dieppe, N.-B – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Peter Gould at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at the age of 80.
Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late William Gould and the late Edith (Niles) Gould.
Peter was the co-founder of Maritime Beauty Supply, and leaves behind his many friends whom he mentored throughout his many years in the beauty industry.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Babineau, his three children: Mark (Linda) Gould, Lise Gould and Troy (Rose Maillet) Gould; his stepson, Jeff Babineau; his brothers and sisters: Ronald (Jeanne) Gould of Dieppe, Eileen (late Brian) McGinity of Winnipeg, Patsy Gould of Shediac, and Mike Gould of Fredericton; his six grandchildren; his three great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
Peter was predeceased by his first wife, Pat Gould (2004), the mother of his children, also his siblings: William (Bill) Gould (Janice) of Shediac, Brenda Gould of Moncton and Carol Ann Melanson (Paul) of Shediac.
Peter undiminished strength, dignity, warmth, humor, and love will remain with those of us he left behind.
Honoring Peter’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held from Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at 1 pm, followed by a reception. Interment will be held at the Passage-Chartersville Columbarium.
In Peter’s memory, a donation to the Liver Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
