In Loving Memory Of
Philip Munroe
February 14, 2015

Moncton, NB – Philip Frederick Munroe 1935 to 2015, born in Yarmouth, NS passed away at the Moncton Hospital February 14th, 2015 after a long illness.

He leaves behind his beloved wife Marie, soul mate of many years, three children Greg (Fran), Jody, Tim (Shelley); sister Joan Tofflemire and brother Larry; six grandchildren Ryan, Adrienne, Erika, Brycen, Garrett and Brendan and five great grandchildren- Mason, Keegan, Colton, Faith and Breanna. He was predeceased by his parents Muriel and Fred Munroe of Yarmouth.

Phil spent his career in the sales and marketing field starting out with Lever Bros. in Yarmouth. He then went to Kentville and Sydney as territorial management for nine years. He spent the next twelve years with a major photofinishing lab as Maritime Sales Manager working throughout the Maritimes and Newfoundland. In 1979 he opened his own business Atlantic On-Site Mobile Cleaners which he sold and retired in 1998.

Phil loved playing golf in his spare time, but his real passion was being at his cottage in Alma overlooking the beautiful Bay of Fundy that reminded him so much of his home. He loved watching the fishing boats come and go and taking care of the property. Fundy was a great source of pleasure for the family and friends over the years. He always looked forward to family gatherings. In the latter part of his life his special treat was his Wednesday-night card game with some very special friends that always gave him something to look forward to until the end.

He was a Knights of Columbus member, Probus club, Beaver Curling Club and a charter member of the Yarmouth Kinsmen Club.
