Philomène Poirier, 93, of Manoir Notre-Dame, Moncton, passed away surrounded by her children, on Friday, March 3rd, 2023, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, NB, she was the daughter of the late Pierre and the late Justine (Caissie) Mallet.
She will be sadly missed by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters; she is survived by her daughters: Aldéa LeBlanc (André) of Dieppe, Anne-Marie Gaudet (Léo) of Moncton, Simonne Allain (Maurice) and Denise Collette (Noël), both of Ste-Marie; her sons: Herman Poirier (Yvonne) of Dieppe and Cyril Poirier (Nicole) of Memramcook; her sisters: Germaine Mallet and Anna LeBlanc (Alyre), both of St-Antoine; her brothers: Gérard and Jean-Paul (Margaret), both of Montreal, Jean-Marie (Mélina) of Ste-Anne and Rhéal of St-Antoine; 16 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband, Aldéo Poirier; by her daughter, Murielle Maillet and also by her brothers and sisters: Onias, François, Yvonne, Mable, Élodie, Bernadette, Jean-Louis and Joseph.
Visitation will be held from Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel RC Church, Ste-Marie-de-Kent, NB, on Friday, March 17th, 2023 from 1 pm to 3:50 pm, followed by the funeral mass at 4 pm.
