Philomène (Maillet) Haché, 93, wife of the late Alphonse Haché (1981) of Rogersville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, at her grandson Donald’s house, where she was cared for by her daughter Rita and family, on Saturday May 31st, 2008. Born in Saint-Charles on February 27th, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Luc and the late Léonie (Daigle) Maillet. Philomène resided in Rogersville, Moncton, Sunnybrae, Cocagne and recently in Greater Lakeburn.
She worked at the Hotel Dieu hospital, now the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton for numerous years and at the Moncton Airport in the housekeeping department for four years.
Philomène leaves to mourn, her eleven children, Marcel (Jeannette) of Bathurst, Alma Aucoin (Clarence) of Waltham, MA, Aldéric (Aline) of Moncton, Gérald (Delvina “Dina”) of Notre-Dame, Rita Bartlemen (Richard) of Waltham, MA, Ernest (Viola) of Dieppe, Gérard (Jacqueline) of Cocagne, Isabelle Jones (Roland) of Greater Lakeburn, Éveline LaChance (Richard) of Cocagne, Éva McGraw (Mike) of Moncton, Jean-Guy (Isabelle) of St-Zotique, QC, twenty five grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, one great great grandson, six sisters, one brother, and several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Marie and her husband Johnny Aucoin, one son, Edmond in infancy, two grandchildren, Gilles Haché, Carol Aucoin, and four sisters and seven brothers.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Monday June 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Pierre Church, Cocagne on Tuesday June 3rd, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
