Shediac River, NB – Rachel Hébert, 61, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, April 26, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Grande-Digue, NB, she was the daughter of the late Amand and Edna Poirier (born Donelle).
Rachel loved nature and flowers. She had a zest for life and could always make people laugh. We will miss you tremendously!
Besides her mother, Rachel will be sadly missed by her husband, Marcel Hébert; her siblings, Paul-Emile (Ruth) of Grande-Digue, Raymond (Diane) of Ohio du Barachois, Léo (Julia) of Grande-Digue, Aline (Maurice) of Cocagne, Fernand, Gérald (Cécilia) both of Shediac Bridge, Camilla (Laurie) of Cormier-Village, Diane (Gilles) of Shediac Bridge and Gilles (Kim) of Shediac River; her two sisters-in-law, Rachelle Hébert (Joey Vautour) of Grand-Barachois and Annette Hébert (Léo Léger) of Cocagne Cape; also by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Gérard.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge, on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. There will be no visitation on Wednesday morning. Funeral service will be at La Visitation RC Church in Grande-Digue, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
