Raymond Cormier, 83 of Résidence Famille Doucette, Grande-Digue and formerly of Adamsville, has passed away peacefully on Sunday February 28th, 2010 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton. He was married to the late Anna (Richard) Cormier (1998). Born in Massachusetts on September 27th, 1926, he was the son of the late Aurèle and the late Lina (Allain) Cormier.
Raymond was a school bus driver for district 11 for numerous years.
He will be sadly missed by his son Vincemt Cormier (Lise) of La Guardeur, Qc., two grandchildren, Shany and Claudie, nine step-children, Louise Gallant (Normand Vignault), Fernande Gallant (Roger Vignault) both of Sainte-Eulalie, Qc., Dorca Gallant (Maurice Arsenault) of Moncton, Claudette Gallant (Jacques LaRoches ), Yolande Gallant (Clarence Arsenault ) both of Montreal, Jean-Baptiste Gallant (Jeannine), Oscar Gallant (Ghislaine) both of Pointe-aux-Trembles, Qc., Paul-Emile Gallant (Corine) of Vancouver, Edmond Gallant (Lisette), of La Guardeur, Qc., thirty six step grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren one sister Alice DocKrill of Toronto, one brother Alfred (Marie) of Montreal, and several nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one son Gerald Cormier, two sisters, Dora, Florence, and two brothers, Danny and Gerald.
Visitation will be held at the Saint-Timothée Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Adamsville from Tuesday March 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Wednesday from noon to 1:15 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Timothée Church, Adamsville on Wednesday March 3rd, 2010 at 1:30 pm. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery in the spring.
