1941 ~ 2023

Dieppe, NB – Raymond (Peter) Gauvin, 82, passed away peacefully in the early morning on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Villa du Repos in Moncton.

Born in Saint-Anselme, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Ida Gauvin (LeBlanc).

Raymond will be greatly missed by his wife: Iona Gauvin (Melanson); his two daughters: Janice Gauvin (Etta Connell) of Riverview and Monique Gauvin (Eddie Cormier) of Grande-Digue; his sister: Emma Hicks (late Gibson) of Moncton; his brother: Alonzo Gauvin (late Bella) of Dieppe; his grandchildren: Pierre and Miguel; also by several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers: Dollard and Marc; his sister:  Florence Melanson (late Eddie); also by a baby sister.

According to Raymond’s wishes, there will be no visits and no funeral service.

A graveside service will be held at Saint-Anselme Cemetery at a later date.

In Raymond’s memory, a donation can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Alzheimer Society.
