RAYMOND RICHARD

Raymond Richard, 82, of Dieppe, NB, passed away on Sunday, June 8th, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital.

Born in Mt. Carmel, PEI, he was the son of the late Philibert and the late Éleonore (née: Cormier) Richard.

Mr. Richard worked at Marvens for 28 years prior to working 17 years at the coliseum for the City of Moncton from where he retired. He was a parishioner at Ste.-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church and formerly a member of the Christ-Roi Parish.

He is survived by his three daughters: Annette (Paul) Hébert of Moncton, Patricia (Bernard) Surette of Dieppe and Suzanne Richard (Claude Mazerolle) of Cocagne; four sons: Normand (Muriel), Bernard (Shelley), Daniel (Jeanette), all three of Dieppe and David of Jasper, AB; two sisters: Florence Hébert and Doreen (Harvey) Cormier, both of Dieppe; nine grandchildren; one great grandchild as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Geneva in 1992; one sister, Yvonne and also by two brothers: Adrien and Edgar “Bingo”.

Visitation will be held from Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB 857-1901, on Tuesday, June 10th, 2008 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 10 am until time of service.

Funeral service will be celebrated from Ste. Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, on Wednesday, June 11th, 2008 at 11 am.

Interment in the Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.

Donations to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital “Oncology” or the Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.

The family would like to thank Rev. Denis Belliveau and the doctors and staff of the Palliative Care Unit and Unit 4A of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont for their compassion and the excellent care given to their Dad.

Né à Mt Carmel, I.P.E., il était fils de Philibert et de feu Éleonore (née: Cormier) Richard.

Avant sa retraite, M. Richard avait travaillé pour Marvens pendant 28 années , suivi de 17 ans de service au colisée de Moncton, Il était membre de la paroisse Ste-Thérèse et autrefois de la paroisse Christ-Roi.

Il laisse dans deuil trois filles: Annette (Paul) Hébert de Moncton, Patricia (Bernard) Surette de Dieppe et Suzanne Richard (Claude Mazerolle) de Cocagne; quatre fils: Normand (Muriel), Bernard (Shelley), Daniel (Jeanette), tous de Dieppe et David de Jasper, AB; deux soeurs: Florence Hébert et Doreen (Harvey) Cormier, toutes deux de Dieppe; neuf petits-enfants; un arrière petit-enfant ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

Son épouse, Geneva (1992), une soeur, Yvonne ainsi que deux frères: Adrien et Edgar ”Bingo” l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le mardi 10 juin de 14h à 16h et de 19h à 21h et le mercredi de 10 h jusqu’à départ pour les funérailles.

Les funérailles auront lieu en l’église Ste-Thérèse, le mercredi 11 juin, 2008 à 11h.

L’inhumation au cimetière Notre-Dame du Calvaire, Dieppe, N.-B.

Un don à la fondation Hôpital Dr Georges-L. Dumont “ Oncologie” ou à la Fondation Canadienne du rein serait apprecié par la famille.
