In Loving Memory Of
Raymond Ronald Leger
1937 – 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raymond Leger, age 86, at Albert House Hospice, Moncton, after many years of dealing with various health issues.

Raymond was born in Dieppe, N.-B., he was the son of the late Joseph and the late Helena Leger.  He is survived by his sisters: Alida Landry (Late Aurel) and Diane Johnson (Emile); many nieces and nephews and a daughter: Guylaine (Sylvain) Lebeau.

Besides his parents, Raymond was predeceased by his wife Barbara; his siblings: Jeannette, Dorine, Lawrence and Helen.

After working for a short time in the Moncton area Raymond had a 35-year career in the Canadian Armed Forces serving in many countries.  In 1985 he and Barbara retired in Dieppe.

As per Raymond’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at Passage-Chartersville Columbarium where he will rest in peace with his wife.

The family would like to thank Dr. Burton, Dr. LeBlanc and all the Drs. and nurses at Veterans Affairs Canada and Extra-Mural New Brunswick for their on-going care.  In his final days a big thank you to the caring staff at Albert House Hospice for meeting Ray’s needs.

In memory of Raymond, a donation can be made to Albert House Hospice, 156 Pleasant Street in Moncton would be appreciated.
