In Loving Memory Of
Raymonde Cormier
1932 ~ 2022

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raymonde Cormier (Caissie) on Friday, January 14th, 2022 at Villa du Repos in Moncton, NB.

Born in Grande-Digue, NB, on July 14th 1932, she was the daughter of the late Horace and late Eva Caissie (Gaudet).

Raymonde will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Willie, and her forever thankful daughters: Therese Cormier of Riverview, Norma Savoie (Roger) of Moncton, Claudette Daley (Greg) of Riverview, and Denise Allain of Dieppe.

She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Chelsea (Owen), Samuel (Sharon), Stephen (Maddy), Natasha (Pat); her great grandchildren: Nova, Ophelia, and Levi, who will be told of her love for them.

She also leaves behind her loving siblings, her brother: Wilfred (Imelda); her sisters: Marianne Eagles (Ben), Laure Liljemark (Nils) all of Dieppe, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Raymonde was predeceased by her brother Gonzague and sister-in-law Florentine Caissie of Cocagne.

Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s around 2012. After a couple of years at home being cared for by her husband, she was admitted to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital where she stayed for over a year. She was then sent to Villa du Repos where she remained until her final day.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all those at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital in unit 3E, as well as the loving staff, current and former, of the Villa du Repos in units 500 and 800. Special thanks to Elie and Maria for all you have done to help us in caring for mom and dad.

Donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, in honor of Raymonde’s memory or donors’ choice.

Visitations will be held at Passage – Chartersville (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB) on Saturday, June 4th, 2022 from 9:00am until 10:30am. Funeral service will take place in the chapel at 11:00am.
