Shediac, NB – Originally from Shediac Bridge, Reginald Cassidy, 91, passed away peacefully at the Villa Providence in Shediac, surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, July 21, 2013.
Born in Shediac on April 7, 1922, he was the son of the late Armand and Alice (Melanson) Cassidy.
Reginald was an avid member of the Eastern Canada Association of the Deaf, Moncton Chapter. Being deaf and mute since birth did not deter him from being outgoing and warm to everyone he met. He was an avid Boston Bruins fan.
Reginald will be sadly missed by his wife, Cora; his three sons, Philip (Thelma) of Shediac Bridge, Judson (Charline) of Grande-Digue and Joel (Shelley) of Moncton; his sister, Rita Cassidy of Shediac; his two grandchildren, Alicia and Ryan; also by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Léonce.
Visitations will be at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, July 24, from 7 to 9 pm with a reception to follow. There will be no funeral service.
Donations to the Red Cross, Vestiaire St-Joseph or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
The family invites you to sign an online book of condolences at: www.funerairepassagefuneral.ca.
