Moncton, NB – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Regis Cormier, 82, of Faubourg du Mascaret “Pavillon Landry” and formerly of Cap-Pelé, on Monday, April 27th, 2026.
Born in Cap-Pelé, NB, he was the son of the late Camille and the late Delvina (Vautour) Cormier.
Prior to his retirement, he was the past owner of Pier 99 and Fred’s Restaurant in Cap-Pelé, he was also a member of Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila Parish.
He is survived by his sons: Danny (Tanya) of Cap-Pelé and Steven (Tammy) of Moncton; by his grandson, Xavier (Alysha); by the mother of his sons, Claudette Elliott of Cap-Pelé; by his sisters: Albertine Leger (late Camille) of Cap-Pelé, Yvonne LeBlanc (Armand) of Dieppe and Lucie Jacob (late Eric) of Cap-Pelé; by his brother, Hector (Juliette) of Cap-Pelé, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Sylvia (Alyre) and by his brothers: infant George and Rheal (Murielle).
There will no visitation prior to the funeral.
Funeral mass will be held from Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC Church, Cap-Pelé, NB, on Monday, May 4th, 2026, at 10:30 am.
Burial will take place in Passage- Chartersville Columbarium, Dieppe, NB.
In lieu of flowers and in his memory, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer Society.

I met him at the Castel my first time working in a nursing home !! Ill never forget my first day on the job ..I walked in and Regis said excuse me mame . I’m waiting for my son to pick me up could you go in that office an grab my suit cases an my bottle of Canadien Club I want to be ready for when he gets here 😂 so off I went having no clue that Regis was not actually going anywhere he just wanted his bottle !! Needless to say Marcel and the rest of the office people had a great laugh!! an well so did I.. we were friends from that day on .. he was always kind an joking around an would always tell me come sit with me .. you work to hard … an would ask if I needed more money because he would have no problem getting it for me 😂 only after my first day i new regis an new he just ment well god rest his soul ❤️ rip my friend sending my condolences to his family an friends
