In Loving Memory Of
René Gagnon
1949 ~ 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of René Gagnon, 74, on Monday, February 12th, 2024, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Alexandre and the late Edna Gagnon (Leger).

René will be sadly missed by his common-law spouse, Bernice Caissie; his sons: Derek Gagnon of Shediac and Randy (Tanya) Gagnon of Shediac Bridge; his daughters: Tina (Mike) Dandurand of Grand-Barachois and Shelley (Wisdom) Ogbutu of Grand-Barachois; his step-daughter, Rachelle (Trevor) Caissie of Grande-Digue; his grandchildren: Ryan, Jenna, Mario, Kaya, Maddison, Mekenzie, and Kaden; his great- grandchildren: Maverick and Jada; his brothers: Norman (Germaine) Gagnon of Leominster, Mass, Gerard (Claudine) Gagnon of Moncton, and Jean-Paul (Lucille) Gagnon of Saint-Antoine; his sisters: Lilliane (Donald) Gaudet of Moncton, Jeanita (André) Bouchard of Gatineau, QC, Lorraine LeBouthillier of Dieppe, Sylvia Lanteigne of Notre-Dame, Murielle Breau of Saint-Philippe, and Georgette (Charles) Lirette of Saint-Philippe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Léona Paquet.

In respect to René’s wishes, there will be no visitations and no funeral service.

  2. Accept our condolences on the death of your father, which sad event took us by surprise. We take solace in the resurrection of the dead. We shall see our loved ones again. In our tradition we are supposed to be with you at this moment of grief. Distance is a barrier. Take heart.
