Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB – René Mazerolle, 87, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, July 26, 2014, after a brief illness.
Born in Notre-Dame-de-Kent, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Petitpas) Mazerolle.
He worked as a carpenter for all of his life. He was a member of the Golden Age Club in Notre-Dame and a member of the parish.
René will be sadly missed by his wife, Anna (Cormier) Mazerolle; his three sons, Ronald (Rosemonde) of St-Antoine, Victor (Janice) of Irishtown and Marcel (Diane) of Notre-Dame; his two daughters, Odette Leger (Gérard) and Janice Mazerolle (Iroi Cormier) both of Notre-Dame; his four grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers, Edée, Alfred, Raymond, Aldéric; his grandson, Claude.
As per René’s request, there will be no visitations and no funeral service.
Donations to the Chudumont Foundation (Oncology Dept.) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
