In Loving Memory Of
RHÉA MELANSON
March 26, 2014

Rhea Melanson, 95, of Moncton, N.B. passed away on Wednesday March 26, 2014 at the George L. Dumont Hospital.

Born in Moncton October 13, 1918, the daughter of the late Theodule Bourgeois and the late Genevieve (LeBlanc) Bourgeois.

Rhea started her career with the C.N.R general offices for 5 years. Then with her husband Henry, was instrumental in starting Henry Melanson Auto Body on King St. After closing the business mom rented out a portion of her house Canavan’s Appraisal, and became secretary to Don Wright and Frank Keith with whom she had a wonderful working relationship for 17 years. Mom also devoted a lot of her time to our family, especially her granddaughter Jacqueline. Mom also enjoyed playing piano, travelling, sports, especially hockey which she enjoyed talking with her Doctor Vincent Melanson instead of worrying about her health.

Rhea will be sadly missed by her sons Paul (Nancy) of Lakeville, George (Dale) from Moncton with whom she shared a house for 14 years. One granddaughter Jacqueline (Charles) Pellerin of Shediac Cape, two great-granddaughters Josee and Gabrielle, daughter-in-law Marcelle Melanson as well as several nieces and nephews. Rhea also leaves to mourn one sister Viola (late J.P) Levesque with whom she shared many car trips to the malls and elsewhere, sister-in-law Florence (late Camille) Leger, brother-in-law Arthur (Gertrude) Melanson.

Besides her parents Rhea was predeceased by her husband Henry (2010), brother Frank Bourgeois, sister-in-law Jean (Sullivan) Bourgeois, niece Judy Bourgeois, and sister-in-law Marguerite (late Fred) Bourque.

A heartfelt thanks to Linda Leger who cared for Mom and became the daughter that mom never had. Would also like to thank the staff of floor 3A at the George L. Dumont, Mom truly loved you all.

Funeral services will be held at the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 at 11 am.

Internment in Notre Dame de Calvaire Cemetery in Dieppe, N.B.
