Richard (Dick) LeBlanc, beloved husband, brother, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at the age of 75, surrounded by his wife and family.
Born in Minto, NB, Dick was the son of the late Jaddus LeBlanc and the late Bella LeBlanc (nee: Pitre) formerly of Rogersville, NB.
Dick spent his early years in Saint John, graduated from St. Malachy’s in 1964, and began his 37-year career with the Bank of Montreal at age 19; he retired from the bank in 2000, and worked for several years as an independent mortgage broker for Invis.
Dick loved sports and was a big fan of the NY Yankees and the Montreal Canadiens. He played and was involved in many local sport organizations over the years including baseball, softball, tennis, curling and more recently pickleball. He also volunteered his time in helping to promote sports in the community. Over the years, Dick was involved in the Richelieu Club and the Knights of Columbus. With a strongly developed sense of humour Dick left all the people who knew him with happy memories.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Patricia (née St-Onge) and his two daughters: Michelle LeBlanc (Tony English) and Debbie LeBlanc (Ian Moores) both of Dieppe and granddaughter Siena Moores; four brothers: Eloi G. (Aurelia) LeBlanc of Guelph, Ontario, Jerry LeBlanc of Saint John, Louis (Sheila) LeBlanc of Saint John and Eric LeBlanc of Riverview and two sisters: Laurie Findlay of Vancouver, BC and Marie (Bob) Betts of Riverview, as well as several nephews and nieces.
Besides his parents, Dick was predeceased by two brothers Emile LeBlanc of Boston, Mass. and Maurice (Eileen) LeBlanc of Riverview, his sister Anna Dineen of Saint John and sister-in-law Patsy LeBlanc of Boston, Mass.
The immediate family wishes to thank the staff at the Moncton Hospital and the extended family members who provided support to Dick in his final days.
Masks are mandatory and social distancing must be respected.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901) on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 10-11am. A private funeral service will be held by invitation only.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Canada or to a charity of donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated.

Richard (Dick) LeBlanc, époux, frère, père et grand-père bien-aimé, est décédé paisiblement à l’hôpital de Moncton dimanche le 14 mars 2021, à l’âge de 75 ans, entouré de son épouse et de sa famille.
Né à Minto, N.-B., Dick était le fils de feu Jaddus LeBlanc et de feu Bella LeBlanc (née Pitre) de Rogersville, N.-B.
Ayant passé une bonne partie de son enfance à Saint John, Dick a terminé ses études secondaires à l’école St. Malachy’s en 1964 pour ensuite lancer sa carrière de 37 ans avec la Banque de Montréal à l’âge de 19 ans. Il a pris sa retraite de la banque en 2000, et il a ensuite travaillé pendant plusieurs années en tant que courtier hypothécaire pour Invis.
Dick aimait les sports et il était un grand partisan des Yankees de New York et des Canadiens de Montréal. Au cours de sa vie, il a joué de nombreux sports, y compris le baseball, le softball, le tennis, le curling et plus récemment le pickleball, et il a participé activement dans de nombreuses organisations sportives locales. Il a également donné son temps en tant que bénévole pour aider à promouvoir les sports dans la communauté. Dick a fait partie du club Richelieu et des Chevaliers de Colomb. Il avait un grand sens de l’humour, dont plusieurs personnes en gardent de bons souvenirs.
Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse depuis 51 ans, Patricia (née St-Onge), ses deux filles: Michelle LeBlanc (Tony English) et Debbie LeBlanc (Ian Moores) toutes deux de Dieppe et sa petite-fille Siena Moores; ses quatre frères: Eloi G. (Aurelia) LeBlanc de Guelph, Ontario, Jerry LeBlanc de Saint John, Louis (Sheila) LeBlanc de Saint John et Eric LeBlanc de Riverview et ses deux sœurs: Laurie Findlay de Vancouver, C.-B. et Marie (Bob) Betts de Riverview; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, Dick a été précédé dans la mort par ses deux frères Emile LeBlanc de Boston, Mass. et Maurice (Eileen) LeBlanc de Riverview, sa sœur Anna Dineen de Saint John et sa belle-sœur Patsy LeBlanc de Boston, Mass.
La famille immédiate tient à remercier le personnel de l’hôpital de Moncton et les nombreux membres de la famille qui ont apporté leur soutien durant son séjour aux soins palliatifs.
Les masques sont obligatoires et la distanciation sociale doit être respectée.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363, rue Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901), le jeudi 18 mars de 10 h à 11 h. Un service funéraire privé aura lieu par invitation seulement.
Au lieu de fleurs, un don à l’organisme Parkinson Canada ou à tout organisme au choix du donateur serait grandement apprécié.
Les arrangements funéraires seront confiés à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901).
