Rita Johnson, 86, of Moncton, NB, formerly of Railway Ave., passed away on Monday, June 18th, 2012 at the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center.
Born in Gardner, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and the late Florence (née: Mazerolle) Leger.
She is survived by two daughters: Roseline (Anton) Paulovic of Irishtown and Claudette (Paul) LeBlanc of Moncton; three sons: Roger and Paul (Cora), both of Moncton and Michel of Dieppe; one sister, Bella Kilroe of BC; six grandchildren: Nathan, Derek, Natasha, Patrick, Sasha and Stefan; two great grandchildren: Jailynn and Kennedy as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Claude in 2008 and also by one son, Arthur.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901), on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, on Thursday, June 21st, 2012 at 10 am.
Interment in St-Jacques-le-Majeur Parish Cemetery, Scoudouc, NB.
Donations to the Moncton SPCA would be appreciated by the family.

Née à Gardner, Mass., elle était fille de feu Arthur et de feu Florence (née: Mazerolle) Leger.
Mme Johnson était membre de la Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption.
Elle laisse dans le deuil deux filles: Roseline (Anton) Paulovic d’Irishtown et Claudette (Paul) LeBlanc de Moncton; trois fils: Roger et Paul (Cora), tous deux de Moncton et Michel de Dieppe; une soeur, Bella Kilroe de la C.-B.; six petits-enfants: Nathan, Derek, Natasha, Patrick, Sasha et Stefan; deux arrière-petits-enfants: Jailynn et Kennedy, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Outre ses parents, son époux, Claude en 2008 ainsi qu’un fils, Arthur l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le mercredi de 19h à 21h
Les funérailles auront lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, Dieppe, N.-B., le jeudi 21 juin, 2012, à 10h.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial St-Jacques-le-Majeur, Scoudouc, N.-B.
Un don à la SPA de Moncton serait apprécié par la famille.
