Moncton, NB – Rita LeBlanc, 82, of Dieppe, New Brunswick, passed away peacefully on October 2nd, 2026, at Garraway Hall, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in St-Paul-de-Kent, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of the late Edmond and the late Jeanne (Robichaud) Belliveau.
Rita found happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking, reading, music, and her summer drives to Bouctouche for ice cream. Rita spent part of her working life caring for others at the Villa du Repos, a reflection of the kindness and compassion she carried throughout her life. But her greatest joy was always her family.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, Francis LeBlanc; by her daughter, Tania LeBlanc (Joël LeBlanc) of Dieppe; by her son, Duane LeBlanc (Martine Côté and her son, Félix) of Dieppe; by her beloved granddaughter, Emilie; by her sisters: Marie-Thérèse Bernard (late Guy) of Campbellton and Maria Belliveau (Lucy) of Bathurst; by her brothers: Laurie Belliveau (Fernande) of St-Paul-de-Kent, Raoul Belliveau (Nanette) of Saulnierville, NS and Clarence Belliveau (Rose-Marie) of Maynard, Mass, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Phyllis and Celestina.
Visitation will be held from Passage-Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901), on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:50 am, followed by the service at 11 am, a reception will follow.
Burial will take place in St-Anselme Parish Cemetery.
In Rita’s memory, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

It was a pleasure getting to know Rita through the Nursing Home Without Walls program. I enjoyed my weekly visits with her, looking at all her photo albums and hearing her stories. She was a wonderful lady who will be greatly missed. My condolences to her entire family.
