Rita LeBlanc-Cormier, 87, of Moncton, passed away on Monday October 23rd, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Moncton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Fidele and the late Lina (née: Goguen) Leger.
Mrs. LeBlanc-Cormier volunteered her services at the Villa du Repos for 17 years. She was a member of the Club d’Age d’Or and Christ-Roi parish.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond Cormier; three daughters: Paulette LeBlanc (Kevin Terris) of Lakeville, Diana Fournier of Moncton and Bernice (Mike) LeBlanc of Saint-Damien; one son, Edmond “Eddie” (Averill) of Beaver Bank, NS; five step-children: Roland (Cathy “Dea”), Lucille (Alan), Yvette (Gerry), Maurice (Kim) and Michel (Cindy); six grandchildren: Ricky, Justin, Renée, Joël, Stéphanie and Rémi; eight step-grandchildren: Jeoffrey, Chris, Brent, Robert, Jared, Katherin, Vanessa and Mathieu; one step-great granddaughter, Adrienne; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her 1st husband, Oscar in 1995; one son, Jean-Paul; the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was also predeceased by two sisters: Anna and Viola and one brother, Gerry.
A private funeral service was held.
Interment in Notre-Dame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe.
In her memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Elle laisse dans le deuil son époux, Raymond Cormier; trois filles: Paulette LeBlanc (Kevin Terris) de Lakeville, Diana Fournier de Moncton et Bernice (Mike) LeBlanc de Saint-Damien; un fils, Edmond “Eddie” (Averill) de Beaver Bank, N.-E.; cinq beaux-enfants: Roland (Cathy “Dea”), Lucille (Alan), Yvette (Gerry), Maurice (Kim) et Michel (Cindy); six petits-enfants: Ricky, Justin, Renée, Joël, Stéphanie et Rémi; huit beaux-petits-enfants: Jeoffrey, Chris, Brent, Robert, Jared, Katherin, Vanessa et Mathieu; une arrière belle-petite-fille, Adrienne; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Son 1er époux, Oscar en 1995; un fils, Jean-Paul; deux sœurs: Anna et Viola; ainsi qu’un frère, Gerry l’ont précédée dans la tombe.
Un service funéraire privé a eu lieu.
L’inhumation au cimetière Notre-Dame-du-Calvaire, Dieppe.
En sa mémoire, un don à la Fondation des maladies du cœur serait apprécié par la famille.
