Rita Léger, 85, of Bouctouche, passed away at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, on Wednesday November 12th, 2014. She was married to the late Cyrile Léger. Born in Richiboucto, she was the daughter of the late Théodore and the late Léona Guimond.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Bernadette Caissie (Alvin), Fernande LeBlanc (Gérard), both of Bouctouche, Annette Killam (Dan) of Moncton, Jeannita Breau (Ernest), Denise Léger (Donald), Yvon (Bernadette), all of Grande-Digue, Francine Belliveau (Pierre) of Shediac and Valmond (Geneva) of Memramcook, her sisters; Jeannette Mazerolle of Richiboucto , Bertha Blanchard of Gardner, Mass and Eva Daigle of Saint-John, her brothers; Tim and Edgar of Richiboucto, Ernest of Saint-Charles and Vernon of Bouctouche, her 19 grandchildren , her 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Rita was predeceased by her daughters; Yvette, Jeannita and Dorilla and her sons; Camille, Laurie, Maurice and Joseph, her sister, Alice, her brothers; Alcide, Delor and Frank.
Visitations will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église in Bouctouche, on Sunday November 16, 2014 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm and on Monday from 1 to 2:45pm. The Funeral Mass will be held in the Saint-Jean-Baptiste RC Church in Bouctouche on Monday November 17, 2014 at 3:00pm.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Foyer Jean-Marie Allain and to the Stella -Maris-de-Kent Hospital for the excellent care provided to Rita.
In Rita’s memory a donation can be made to the family.
