Rita Nowlan, 98, of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges-L. Dumont UHC, Moncton on Monday May 15, 2023. She was married to the late Arthur Nowlan (2021). Born in Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late André and the late Zélia (Belliveau) Maillet.
Rita will be sadly missed by her five children; Jeannette Nowlan, Claudette Nowlan of Dieppe, Bernice Nowlan, Guy (Exelda), Claude (Janice) of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, and her three grandchildren; Marie-France, Marc, Martin. She also leaves to mourn her two sisters; Cécile Richard of Fredericton, Andréa Allain (Paul) of Hudson, MA, her four brothers; Alonzo of Saint-Paul, Joseph (Anne-Marie) of Clinton, MA, Léo-Paul of Montreal, Aldérice (Anne-Marie) of Marlboro, MA as well as several nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by five brothers; Néri, Yvon, Désiré, Albéo and Antoine.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie-de- Kent on Friday May 19, 2023 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 5:30 to 6:45 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Church on Friday May 19, 2023 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
In Rita’s memory, donations may be made to the CHUDUMONT Foundation.
