In Loving Memory Of
Rita Paulin
1950-2026

Shediac, N.B. – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rita Paulin, aged 75, on
January 5, 2026, at villa Providence Shediac.

Born in Petite-Lamèque, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Joseph F. Duguay and the late
Philomène (Noël) Duguay.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Marc Paulin; her daughters, Christel Paulin-LeBlanc
(Pierre) and Mélanie Paulin (Jeffrey Savoie), both of Moncton; her grandsons, Félix and Éloi;
her sisters, Sr. Robéa Duguay, rjm, of Lévis, QC, and Léa Doiron (Denis) of Tracadie; her
brother, Edgar Duguay (Danielle) of Petite-Lamèque; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Anne-Marie Duguay, and her
brother, Aimé Duguay.

Rita shared a deep connection with children, animals, and nature. She had an innate ability to
enter the magical world of childhood. For many years, her work as a childcare provider allowed
her to build lasting and meaningful relationships with children and their families. A devoted
mother and wife, she was also a proud grandmother. Above all, she cherished the time spent with
her two grandsons, Félix and Éloi.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of villa Providence for the
exceptional care provided over the past year. A very special thank you goes to Edna Leger,
whose attentive presence and invaluable support were deeply appreciated.

Donations in memory of Rita may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.

The funeral service will take place at Passage (3754 Route 134, Shediac Bridge) in the
chapel on Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
