Bobby was my first very best friend and brother as we grew up together when we were placed in a foster home in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We were both about 3 years of age. As young boys we became brothers—playing and learning together everyday. Those days sign language wasn’t allowed but we found a way to communicate and developed our own language. As we grew, we went to Ardmore School in Halifax.

When we were 11 years old, our foster father passed away and we were sent to Amherst School for the Deaf. Our worlds opened up and we were so happy and remained best friends and brothers.

We had lots of good times, good memories and good friends. I will deeply miss Bobby as we have remained brothers to this day.

Again, my deepest sympathies to Mark, Eileen, Stephen, Brian, David and their families.
