In Loving Memory Of
Robert Dutcher
1946 -2024

Robert Dutcher, 78, of Meadow Brook, NB, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Thursday, June 27th, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Frank Dutcher (1982) and Delina (Bourque) Dutcher (1984).

Robert will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 49 years: Raymonde (Melanson) Dutcher – his guardian angel; his three sisters: Hélène Leblanc (late Levi), Jeanette Longphee (late Joe), Olive Leger (Harvey); one brother: Thomas (Pat) and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers: Paul, Raymond and David; four sisters: Anita, Florence, Dorothy and Alice.

Robert was a true ‘Dutcher’ like his father and brothers. He was mechanically inclined. He knew how things worked, and he knew how to fix them. Due to his declining health in the past years, he needed support to transform his innovative ideas into a reality. A special thanks to his brother-in-law Rhéal and nephew Vic for all their help. Robert touched a lot of people with his knowledge, courage, and generosity. He was a very special man loved by many.

His Kubota tractor was his pride and joy. He loved to cut the lawn and plow his driveway. This was his therapy. Robert enjoyed reminiscing about childhood memories with family and friends. He enjoyed talking about cars, was a big fan of racing, drag racing and construction equipment. He was also an avid fan of his brother David’s mud bogger ‘The Lone Ranger’.

He was known for his beautiful smile. Throughout all his pain and suffering, Robert never complained. He was the kind of person who remained positive even in the toughest circumstances.

Robert wants to sincerely thank all his family and friends for the support they gave him and his wife, Raymonde, during the past month.

In keeping with Robert’s wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service.

In memory of Robert, a contribution can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy of Canada or charity of choice.
