Moncton, NB – Robert Fontaine, 70, passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Thursday, March 24, 2022.

Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Hector and the late Rita Fontaine.

Robert will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 44 years, Francine Fontaine (Melanson); his daughter, Nathalie Horn (Derek) of Moncton; his grandson: Gabriel Horn; his sisters: Joanne Fontaine (John) of Moncton, Rachelle Purdy (Lloyd) of Grande-Digue, Lucille Fontaine (Léona Arsenault) of PEI; his brothers: Francis (Nadine) of Niagara Falls, ON and Bernard (Rachelle) of Fredericton; also by several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

As per Robert’s wishes, there will be no visitation and funeral service. Cremated remains will be placed at Passage-Chartersville Columbarium at 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB  (506)-857-1901.

A donation can be made to ALS Society of Canada.

Special thanks to Dr. Mathieu Gaudet, the Moncton Extra-Mural Program, and their nurses: Maryse, Janise, Katie and Michelle for their special care, attention and excellent work.
