It is with the deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Robert Paul Hulsman, a man whose loyalty, humour, and quiet strength touched all who knew him.
Robert is predeceased by his beloved mother, Elisabeth Hulsman. His memory will be forever cherished by his loving partner, Marguerite; his father, Erik; his sister, Tessa (William); his brother, Noel (RaeAnn); his nieces, Laurén, Arielle and Veronica; his nephew, Kieran; his son, Luke; and his two grandsons, Riley and Rowen whom he loved dearly.
Family was important to Robert. He loved his long time partner Marguerite dearly. Robert enjoyed his Saturday visits with his mother and lunches with his father. No matter the distance, he enjoyed spending holidays with his sister and his nieces, creating a lifetime of memories.
Robert was a proud alumnus of Tantramar Regional High School (TRHS) football team, inducted into the Sackville Sports Heritage Hall of Fame for the team’s elite performance in 1980, 1981, and 1982. Robert went on to graduate from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and began his career at Irving before owning his own company. In 2006, he faced a difficult medical diagnosis with immense courage, and bravery.
Our family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Intensive Care Surgical Unit at the Dr. Georges – L. Dumont University Hospital for their expertise, kindness and care.
To honour Robert, we ask that you find him in the quiet moments a view of the water or an early morning coffee, he will be there with you. If you were a friend of Robert’s, you were his friend for life.
Rest in peace Robert. You are deeply missed.
Cremation has taken place.
There will be no funeral as we continue to honour Robert’s wishes.

I went to school with Robert. He was always a great guy. He was so proud to be a Titan and we were so proud of the team. Will always think of Robert with a fond heart. He was much too young. My sincere condolences to his family and friends.
