ROBERT J. ARSENAULT

 The death of Robert J. Arsenault occurred on October 1st, 2013 at his home.

 Born in Port Elgin, NB on March 10th, 1923, he was the son of the late George and the late Celina (née: Bourque) Arsenault.

Mr. Arsenault served aboard H.M.C.S. St-Boniface; R.C.N.V.R. in WW II; afterward retired from the Province of NB, Department of Labour. He enjoyed spending time at his camp in Queens County with family and friends and loved playing "200" with friends at the Magnetic Hill Lions Club. He was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, currently a member of Branch # 26, Sackville, NB.

 He is survived by his loving children: Sandra (Bob) of Calgary, AB, Terry (Ariane) of Kirkland, QC and Michael "Mike" (Frances) of Moncton, with whom he resided for many years; the mother of his children, Gloria LeBlanc; his cherished grandchildren: Sasha, Justin, Joël, Jérémie and Mathieu and also one great grandchild, Sage. He is also survived by four sisters, all residents of Ontario. He will be greatly missed by Nala, the family pet.

Besides his parents; he was predeceased by one grandson, Jason as well as several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB (857-1901) on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Monday from 9 am until time of service.

A legion service will be held on Sunday at 1: 45 pm

Funeral service will be celebrated from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, Dieppe, NB, on Monday, October 7th, 2013 at 10 am.

Interment in St. Clement’s Parish Cemetery, Port Elgin, NB.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

À sa résidence, le mardi 1 octobre 2013, à l’âge de 90 ans, est décédé Robert J. Arsenault. Il demeurait à Moncton, N.-B..

Né à Port Elgin, il était fils de feu George et de feu Celina (née Bourque) Arsenault.

Il laisse dans le deuil trois enfants bien-aimé: Sandra (Bob) de Calgary, AB, Terry (Ariane) de Kirkland, QC et Michael “Mike” (Frances) de Moncton, avec qui il demeurait pendant plusieurs années; la mère de ses enfants, Gloria LeBlanc; ses petits-enfants: Sasha, Justin, Joël, Jérémie et Mathieu ainsi qu’un arrière petit-enfant, Sage. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil, quatre sœurs, toutes en Ontario. Il manquera aussi à Nala, le chien de la famille.

Outre ses parents; un petit-fils, Jason ainsi que plusieurs soeurs et frères l’ont précédé dans la tombe.

Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, N.-B., (857-1901) le dimanche de 14h à 16h et 19h à 21h et le lundi de 9h jusqu’à l’heure des funérailles.

Un service de vétéran aura lieu le dimanche à 13h 45.

Les funérailles auront lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, Dieppe, N.-B., le lundi 7 octobre 2013 à 10h.

L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial St Clement, Port Elgin, N.-B.

Un don à la Société canadienne du cancer serait apprécié par la famille.
