Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Sylvain Poirier and the late Anna Poirier (nee Cormier)

Robert will be sadly missed by his two sons, Marcel (Ashley) of Moncton and Ronald (Isabelle) of Timmins, ON; by his three sisters, Viola Teed of Moncton, Lucille Goguen (Robert) of Dieppe and Bernadette Reynolds (Roy) of Moncton; by his grandson, Michael; by his niece, Caroline and by his five nephews, Michel, Timmy, Sandford, Daniel and Jérémie.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Thérèse Poirier and by two nephews, Norman and Francis

Visitation will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road (corner West Lane), Moncton, on Thursday, August 23rd, 2018 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Friday, August 24th, 2018 from 10:00am till the time of service. Funeral service will be held from Passage Funeral Chapel, Moncton, on Friday, August 24th, 2018 at 11:00am.

Donation to The Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Cardiac Unit) would be appreciated by the family.
