Roberta joined her beloved husband Ray on Sept 17, 2019, who had been waiting patiently for her with a caesar in hand since 2009.
She was known by many names, Nanna, Grammy, Mom, Aunt, Sister, Daughter, and wife; she was a friend to anyone she met.
The role that meant most to her was being the matriarch of her family who will miss her deeply and will forever grieve her loss; sons Paul (Lisa) and Peter (Heather), daughters Lana (Claude) and Lynne (Luc), and Robbie (Lisa) who was just like a son. She also leaves to grieve her precious grandchildren who meant the world to her, nieces and nephews, her very special friends, and her Sister Maureen (Dean). She was always ready to provide her wisdom and her advice… and most times she was right. Her love though, was always perfect.
Along with Ray she will be joining her parents Harry and Stella, sister Roberta, and brother Ian, along with numerous fur babies/grand babies.
A native of Charlottetown PEI, she was a true Maritimer always being there for whomever she met; whether it be a BMO client where she worked for most of her career, the United Way, or a neighbour close by.
She loved to cook her famous casseroles (we will miss her Mostacolli), make anyone a blanket, hem a dress, or sew on a badge (thanks from all her cadet children).
Her patience was her trade mark, always being willing to listen and share a story or two. She took her time right to the end, wanting to spend as much time as she could with the ones she loved.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901), on Friday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Saturday from 9 am until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 21st, 2019 at 10 am, with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
Interment in Our-Lady-of-Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care" would be appreciated by the family.
