In Loving Memory Of
Roger Babin
1932-2022

Shediac, NB. – Roger Babin, 90, of Shediac passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center.

Born in Scoudouc, NB, he was the son of the late Dionus “Denis” and Zelica (Melanson) Babin.

Roger worked as a Pepsi Cola truck driver in Canada before moving his family to the US in 1965. From there he worked as a machinist at Reece Corporation for 18 + years. He later became a finish carpenter, it was his true passion, he could always be found tinkering in his workshop up until his recent illness.

Roger will be greatly missed by his wife, Lucille; his five daughters: Monique Babin Bennett (Wayne) of Maine, Diane Dubie (Fred), Gisèle Caisse (late James), Janice Lundberg (David), and Lorraine Aitchison (Edward) all of Massachusetts; his ten grandchildren: Roger, Danielle (Evan), Michael, Sean, Krista (James), George (Rachel), Jessica, April, Steven and Ryan; his nine great grandchildren: Paige, Ryleigh, Brielle, Cole, Chase, Parker, Owen, Danielle, and Jack; his sister: Rita (late Leonard) Boudreau of Shediac; his sister in law: Lucille of Dieppe and several nieces and nephews.

Roger was predeceased by his infant daughter: Susan; his infant great grandson: Everett; his brothers: Raymond, Leo (Elena), Anselme “Sam” (Joyce), and Emile (Anita); his sisters: Lorraine (Emile) Babin, and Stella (Neary) Lainey.

Visitations will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (506) 857-1901, from 2 to 4 pm. Funeral service will follow at the Passage-Chartersville Funeral Chapel at 4 pm. Interment will be held at Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cancer Society in memory of Roger.

  1. Lucille I am so so very sorry for your loss. He was a great man and I know he was a great husband too. He will be missed by all especially me. It has been a long time since we last seen each other but every time we did, it felt like we had never been apart. Love you my dear. My deepest sympathies you you and your family.
