Roger Dallaire, 75, of Dieppe, passed away on Saturday, June 6th, 2020, at his residence.

Born in Moncton, NB, he was the son of the late Eric and the late Florida (née: Leger) Dallaire.

Prior to retirement, Roger worked at Grand & Toy in Dieppe. He was very involved in his community, enjoyed socializing, dancing and refereeing minor hockey. Roger’s passion was salmon fishing on the Miramichi River. He was a member of Saint-Bernard’s parish.

He is survived by his daughters: Joanne Dallaire (Jennifer Colford) of Fredericton and Rachelle (Jeff) Perry of Dieppe; his grandchildren: Miles and Monica Perry; his sisters: Yvonne Gagnon of Quebec, Cecile Keirstead (Greg Smith) of Lower Coverdale and Louise (Hinson) Ashe of Moncton; his brother, Leo (Joan) Dallaire of Moncton; the mother of his children, May (née: Gallant), as well as several nieces and nephews.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a private funeral will be held.

Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

Arrangements entrusted to Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe (857-1901).

 

À sa résidence, le samedi 6 juin 2020, à l’âge de 75 ans, est décédé Roger Dallaire. Il demeurait à Dieppe au Nouveau-Brunswick.

Né à Moncton, N.-B., il était le fils de feu Eric et de feu Florida (née Leger) Dallaire.

Avant sa retraite, Roger travaillait chez Grand & Toy à Dieppe. Il était très impliqué dans sa communauté, aimait socialiser, danser et arbitrer le hockey mineur. La passion de Roger était la pêche au saumon sur la Miramichi. Il était membre de la paroisse Saint-Bernard.

Il laisse dans le deuil ses filles: Joanne Dallaire (Jennifer Colford) de Fredericton et Rachelle (Jeff) Perry de Dieppe; ses petits-enfants: Miles et Monica Perry; ses sœurs: Yvonne Gagnon de Québec, Cecile Keirstead (Greg Smith) de Lower Coverdale et Louise (Hinson) Ashe de Moncton; son frère, Leo (Joan) Dallaire de Moncton; la mère de ses enfants, May (née Gallant), ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.

En raison de la pandémie du Covid-19, des funérailles privées auront lieu.

Un don à l’Association canadienne du diabète serait apprécié par la famille.

Les arrangements ont été confiés aux soins professionnels de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe (857-1901).
