Rolande Gallant, 87, of Résidence Oasis, Dieppe, NB, passed away on Monday, July 31st, 2023 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton, NB.
Born in Scoudouc, NB, she was the daughter of the late Lucien and the late Elizabeth (Babin) Bourque.
Prior to her retirement, she worked as a clerk with the City of Dieppe for 29 years and with Household Finance for 8 years. She enjoyed gardening, spending her summers at their cottage in Caissie Cape and winters in Florida for 20 years. She also had the chance to play some golf until the age of 80.
A devoted wife, mother and grandmother; she is survived by her husband, Roger Gallant; her daughter, Denise Farrell (John) of Dieppe; her sons: Claude (Mireille Lanouette) of Dieppe, Donald (Rebecca) of Scoudouc and Guy (Carol Ross) of Calgary, AB; her grandchildren: Lynn, Jennifer (Mike), Chantal, Francois, Valerie, Madeleine (Ryan), Justin and Daniel; her great grandchildren: Cameryn-Alia, Christian, Cayden, Lauren, Calder and Alexandro; her brother, Ola Bourque (late Estelle) of Grande-Digue and by many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters: Henriette, Lorraine, Georgia, Jeannette, Edith, Alice and Helene and by her brother, Edgar “Johnny”.
Visitation will be held from Passage – Chartersville, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, (506) 857-1901, on Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral mass will be held from St-Anselme RC Church, Dieppe, NB, on Wednesday, August 9th, 2023 at 2 pm.
In her memory, a donation can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to a memorial of choice.

A la famille – je vous offre mes sincères condoléances. Rolande a toujours été très gentille et intéressée avec nous (les enfants à Lorraine et Arthur) et une très bonne amie et collègue à ma mère Lorraine. J’espère qu’elle a eu plein de plaisir et pas trop de souffrance dans ses dernières années.
