Brun, Roméo Joseph, Moncton, age 93
It is with great sadness that the family of Roméo Brun announces his passing on April 26th, 2025, at the Veterans Health Centre, Moncton.
Dad was born on April 25th 1932 in Cap Pelé, NB. He is survived by six children, Suzanne (Joseph), Philippe (Lou), Jeannette (Chris), Louis (Pam), Eric (Joni) and Angela, as well as fourteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by brothers Donald (Linda), Léo (Gladys) and Claude (Leona). He was predeceased by his loving wife of 68 years Lilianne, his parents Émile and Euphémie, his sisters Sr. Jeannette and Sr. Florine and his brothers Laurie, Normand and Gérald.
Roméo was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Navy from 1951 to 1977. Later, he worked as a Corrections Officer at the Dorchester Penitentiary. He was very active in the Catholic church for many years.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks for the wonderful care and support from the doctors, nurses and support staff at the Veterans Health Centre.
Visitation will be held at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila Church on Thursday, May 1st, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm, and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, The funeral service will take place at the same location Friday, May 2nd ,2025 at 10:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice.
