Grande-Digue, NB – Roméo Gallant, 82, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, September 12, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Grande-Digue, NB, he was the son of the late Yvon and the late Thérèse (nee Belliveau) Gallant.

Roméo will be missed by his wife, Jeannette; by his daughter, Anne-Marie Caissie (Clovis) of Grande-Digue; by his four sons, Daniel Gallant (Maria) of Scoudouc, Charles Gallant (Sandy) of Massachusetts, USA, Marc Gallant (Susan) of Shediac and Paul Gallant (Julie) of Grand-Barachois; by his brother, Robert Gallant (Rita) of Grande-Digue; by his sister, Laudia Bourgeois (Pierre) of Grande-Digue and by his brother-in-law, Roger LeBlanc of Grande-Digue; by his eight grandchildren, Stéphane, Lisa, Andrew, Anesta, Carly, Zacharie, Charles and Christina; and by his five great grandchildren, Khloé, Naveah, Nicole, Ella and Anthony.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Yvonne.

Visitations will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 10 am until time of funeral service. Funeral service will be held at Passage Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 11 am.
