Romeo "Roe" Doucet of Résidence Moncton and formerly of Bathurst, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 24th, 2019 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton.
Born in Bathurst, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and the late Lorette (Doucet) Doucet.
He will be sadly missed by his three devoted daughters: Glenda (Chris Gibson) of Georgetown, ON, Monique (Gilbert Philion) of Shediac and Carole (Phil Lavoie) of Dieppe; three extra-special grandchildren: Scott, Eric and Chloé; one sister, Theresa (late Art O’Donnel) of Winnipeg, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marina (née: Doucet) in 2005; two sisters: Rita and Lorette (John) and also by five brothers: Edgar (Dorina), Gerry (Elizabeth "Gigi"), Ignatius (Eugenie), Raymond and Alban, all from Bathurst.
Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, (857-1901) on Tuesday from 2 pm until time of service.
A Celebration of the Word will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel, on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019 at 4 pm.
Graveside prayers will be held from Notre-Dame-de-Rosaire Cemetery, Bathurst, on Wednesday, May 29th, 2019 at 1:30 pm.
Donations to a memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Paisiblement au centre hospitalier universitaire Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont, le vendredi 24 mai 2019, est décédé Romeo « Roe » Doucet. Il demeurait à la Résidence Moncton et autrefois de Bathurst au Nouveau-Brunswick.
Né à Bathurst, N.-B., il était fils de feu Charles et de feu Lorette (née Doucet) Doucet.
Il laisse dans le deuil ses trois filles: Glenda (Chris Gibson) de Georgetown, ON, Monique (Gilbert Philion) de Shédiac et Carole (Phil Lavoie) de Dieppe; ses trois petits-enfants très spéciaux: Scott, Eric et Chloé; une soeur, Theresa (feu Art O’Donnel) de Winnipeg, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces.
Son épouse bien-aimée, Marina (née: Doucet) en 2005; deux soeurs: Rita et Lorette (John) ainsi que cinq frères: Edgar (Dorina), Gerry (Elizabeth “Gigi”), Ignatius (Eugenie), Raymond et Alban, tous de Bathurst, l’ont précédé dans la tombe.
Les visites auront lieu à la Maison funéraire Chartersville, 363 rue Amirault, Dieppe, (857-1901), le mardi de 14h jusqu’aux funérailles.
Les funérailles auront lieu en la chapelle de la Maison funéraire Chartersville, le mardi 28 mai 2019 à 16h.
Les prières au cimetière Notre-Dame-de-Rosaire à Bathurst auront lieu le mercredi 29 mai 2019 à 13h30.
