Ronald “Ron” Leger
1956 - 2023

Dieppe, N.-B. – Ronald Leger, 66,passed away at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, on Friday, March 17th, 2023.

Born in Moncton on August 25th, 1956, he was the son of the late Alfred Leger and the late Eva (Caissie) Leger.  

Ron worked as a taxi driver for White Cab until his retirement. His true passion was to play music, especially the guitar.

He is survived by his sister, Claudette (Pierre) Cormier of Moncton, his two brothers: Charles (Paulette) of Moncton and Henri (late Danielle) of Dieppe; his nieces and nephews: Mario, Chantal, Mathieu, and Michelle.


Visitation will be held at Passage-Chartersville Funeral Cooperative (363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, NB, E1A 1G1, 506-857-1901) on Monday, March 27th from 10 to 10:50 am. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 11 am.

  1. Ron you will be missed by so many. So grateful we had our music gatherings every Thursdays and Saturdays. Will be part of my memories forever. RIP my friend, Conrad LeBlanc.

  13. Ron, je t’ai connu en premier as a customer pour l’Evangeline quand j’étais un paperboy. J’avais 10 ans et tu en avais 18 ans. C’étais 80 cents par semaine et tu me donnais toujours 1 piasse. Quand j’allais collecter pour l’Evangeline, j’entendais toujours la musique à la cave quand je passais devant la maison. Avant les cellulaires il avait toujours une hangout pour les jeunes sur la Oliver street. Pis là de chez nous j’entendais avant que je voyais le dodge charger monter la butte. Il montait la butte right smooth, mellow et le car sonnait perfect. Là il a eu les party’s au chalet, les kitchen party’s chez vous que votre mère enjoyait au bout et que beaucoup de monde a vécu. Les party’s chez ton entourage sur la Oliver, le calgary stampede et toute autre. Ton objectif était de faire plaisir à tout le monde. Ron, quand sa vient à la guitard tu étais sur un autre level comparer aux autres. Tu as été 1 Icon pour beaucoup.
