Rose Léger, age 80, of Cottage Lane, Cocagne and formerly of Saint-Paul de Kent, passed away on Tuesday October 16th, 2007 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont Hospital after a lengthy illness. Married to Yvon Léger, she was born on July 30th, 1927 in Saint-Paul to the late Alban and the late Sara (Née Cormier) Belliveau.
Rose did the secretarial work for the family business, Saint-Paul Lumber, in Saint-Paul for several years.
She is survived by her husband Yvon Léger of Cocagne, two daughters; Léa Belliveau (Raymond) of Richibouctou, Germaine Léger (Charles Gaudet) of Shediac, five sons; Donald (Andrée) of Dartmouth, NS, Oscar (Sharon) of Moncton, Léandre (Vicky) of Richibouctou, Georges (Léola) of Bouctouche, Jacques (Agnes) of Campbell River, BC, six sisters; Edmée Belliveau, Aline Boudreau, Maria Belliveau, Sr Norma Belliveau ndsc all of Moncton, Doris Cormier of Dieppe, Thérèse Boudreau of Sarnia, ON, two brothers; Normand of Jaffrey, NH, Gerald of Ottawa, twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
Rose was predeceased by one sister Mabel, and two brothers; Laurie, and Roger.
Visitation will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche on Wednesday October 17th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday at the Saint-Paul de Kent Roman Catholic Church slumber room from 2 to 3:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Paul de Kent church on Thursday October 18th at 4:00 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In Rose’s memory donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
