It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Rose-Marie Haché, on July 25, 2023, at the Maison Albert House in Moncton.
Rose-Marie, born March 3, 1950, was the daughter of the late Émile Haché and Alexandra Landry. She is survived by her husband Jean-Claude Basque, her sister Isabelle (Boudreault) and her husband Lucien Boudreault of Bathurst, and her brother Jean-Claude Haché and his wife Kathy Ross Haché of Fredericton. She was predeceased by her brother Fernand. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was particularly fond of her grand-nephew Cédric Haché of Fredericton.
For over thirty years, Rose-Marie was a teacher, a profession she loved. She started out in Labrador, returning to the province to teach at the Claude Taylor School in Riverview, then moved to Fredericton and taught at the Centre communautaire Saint-Anne, before moving on to the Anna Malenfant and the Amirault Schools in Dieppe. She ended her career as principal of Saint Henri School in Moncton.
We would like to sincerely thank the staff of the G.L. Dumont Hospital, the Driscoll Extra-Mural Services and Maison Albert House for the professional care they provided Rose-Marie during her brief illness.
There will be no funeral service, but a celebration of life will be held on August 10, 2023, from 3 to 4 p.m., at Passage Funeral Cooperative in Moncton, 625 Mountain Road.
