Moncton, NB – Rosella Marie Cormier, 81, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, NB on January 7, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Adelin and the late Marie (Allain) Melanson.
Rosella will be sadly missed by her daughter, Rachel Alderson of Moncton; her son, Marc Cormier of Dieppe; her brother, Normand Melanson (Elise) of Moncton; her four sisters, Doris LeBlanc (late Frank), of St-Antoine, Stella Allain (late Edouard) of Bouctouche, Huberte Maillet (André) of Ste-Anne-de-Kent and Lorraine LeBlanc (Donald) of Shemogue; her granddaughter, Jessica (Kevin) of Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Aurèle Léger (1962) and by her second husband Yvon Cormier (2011).
Visitations will be at Passage Funeral Chapel, 625 Mountain Road, Moncton on Monday, April 1st, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. No visitation on Tuesday morning. Funeral Mass will be held at the St.-Louis-de-France RC Church, 5 Pleasant St., Moncton on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2013 at 11 am.
Donation to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation (Oncology Department) or to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
