In Loving Memory Of
Roy Dickison
1951 ~ 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roy Dickison, 75, surrounded by family, on Thursday, June 11th, 2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton.

Born in Newcastle, he was the son of Grace Dickison (MacAllister) and the late Willis Dickison.

In Roy’s favorite words “to make a long story short”, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Ellen Dickison (Russell); his children: Kelsey Green (Todd) and Dane Dickison (Melissa Arseneault); his mother, Grace Dickison; his brother, Dodie Dickison (Ann); his sisters: Sandra Harding (Jack) and Pam Thompson (Robert); his step grandchildren: Ethan Green (Sasha) and Nora Green; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Roy dedicated 40 years of service to UPM, formerly REPAP, before the mill’s closure. He was a passionate sports fan who rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the New England Patriots. In his younger years, he was an avid curler and enjoyed the camaraderie and competition the sport provided. Known as the life of the party, Roy brought laughter and energy wherever he went. He was a thoughtful and considerate husband and father, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Roy also loved discussing politics and could happily carry on a spirited conversation for hours until your ears fell off. His warmth, generosity, and larger-than-life personality will be remembered by all who knew him.

In respect to the family’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations in memory of Roy can be made to the CHU Dumont Foundation, where he received excellent care.
